Flood disasters occur frequently in Pakistan leading to severe damage of lives and estate possessions and subsistence systems. This research investigates the 2014 flood in District Jhang which stands as one of the flood-hit regions of Pakistan. This research used mixed-methods analysis which included governmental documents as well as interviews with affected areas and NGO data sources. The research analyzes flood causes and investigates short-term and long-term recovery propositions created by NDMA in addition to PDMA and DDMA. Insufficient response coordination combines with inadequate preparedness and inadequate recovery strategies according to the study findings. The research development provides guidelines to minimize flooding impact by improving infrastructure systems and warning technologies and modifying regulatory frameworks. Improving disaster risk reduction strategies together with enhanced technological integration and local community disaster management programs represent the recommendations. The research expands Pakistani discourse on disaster resilience through its insights which assist decision-makers and disaster management professionals.
