The present study examined the effect of agribusiness innovativeness on supply chain resilience in agricultural commodities trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan, while exploring the moderating role of supply uncertainty. Data collected from 314 target actors using adopted questionnaire confirmed the reliability of the measurement scale via Cronbach’s alpha. The results showed that agribusiness innovativeness has a positive and significant association with supply chain resilience. On the other hand, supply uncertainty fences the relationship between agribusiness innovativeness and supply chain resilience. It means that the relationship between agribusiness innovativeness and supply chain resilience weakens with an increase in supply uncertainty. The present research has significant implications for agribusiness, academia, and organizations involved in value chain development. Its unique scope and originality provide valuable insights into the complex relationships between value chain development, innovativeness, and supply chain resilience.
