Publication Ethics

The "Journal of Political Stability Archive" (JPSA) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and ensuring the integrity of the research it publishes. These guidelines are intended to provide clarity and guidance for authors, editors, and reviewers involved in the publication process.

Authorship:

  • Authorship criteria: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the conception, design, execution, or analysis of the research presented in the manuscript. All authors should be aware of and agree to the content of the submitted manuscript.
  • Corresponding author: The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors are included and that their contributions are accurately represented. They are also responsible for communication with the journal editors and reviewers throughout the submission and publication process.
  • Ghost authorship and plagiarism: Ghost authorship and plagiarism are unethical and will not be tolerated. Ghost authorship occurs when someone who has made a significant contribution to the research is not listed as an author, while plagiarism involves using someone else's work without proper attribution.

Manuscript submission:

  • Originality: Manuscripts submitted to JPSA must be original and not published elsewhere, except as pre-prints or abstracts.
  • Duplicate submissions: Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical and will result in rejection.
  • Copyright: Authors retain copyright for their published articles, but the journal will require a license to publish and distribute the work.

Peer review:

  • Reviewer selection: Reviewers are chosen based on their expertise in the relevant field and their ability to provide fair and objective feedback.
  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential and not share them with anyone not authorized by the journal.
  • Reviewer bias: Reviewers should disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could bias their penilaian.

Editor responsibilities:

  • Fairness and objectivity: Editors are responsible for ensuring that all submissions are evaluated fairly and objectively based on their scientific merit and originality.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential and not share them with anyone not authorized by the journal.
  • Conflict of interest: Editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could bias their editorial decisions.
